Just ahead

Spring is upon us and it’s about now we start to dust away the cobwebs around the workplace and look to replace the old and broken equipment that we no longer use.

It’s strange we don’t apply the same logic to our list of business contacts. After all, when a photocopier no longer works, we replace it, but when a marketing list no longer functions, we tend to put its replacement on the back burner.

During April, Corpdata will put in the elbow grease to help lift your direct marketing results in the months ahead. Contact us to have a no obligation chat with a data consultant, who will advise you how we can update your existing business contact list adding the required contacts and companies with our Data Health Check Service with no strings attached.

If your existing list is old and tired, we’ll have a few ideas to help your direct marketing results sparkle.

A better outlook for business

The economic news appears to be good.

The size of the overall UK economy will, this summer overtake the peak level it was at before the 2008 financial crisis, so The British Chambers of Commerce says.... The lobby group thinks the second quarter, starting in April, will see GDP exceed the level seen at the start of 2008.

Separately, in a report on business confidence, the Federation of Small Businesses said one in seven smaller companies wanted to create jobs in the next three months. They also said a growing number of companies were getting access to finance.

Unemployment is falling faster than anticipated, the Bank of England is revising it's forward planning on interest rates and consumers are now more likely to spend with the certainty of future income.

The news seems to suggest confidence returning both from businesses and consumers, so what better time to start connecting with your potential new customers who now, may be much more likely to buy from you. If you do want to invest in effective direct marketing, contact Corpdata for an accurate well targeted list of the people you need to speak to.

It Only Applies to Big Companies – Doesn’t it?

We’re talking about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and no it doesn’t only apply to big companies. Having a responsible attitude to what we do can be good for the Company and good in a much wider sense.

Over 90% of the businesses in the UK fall into the small or medium category, so if CSR if just left to large organisations then the impact will fall far below where it should be. We have recently met with a company whose mission is to work with large and small businesses to help all derive the benefits of well managed CSR initiatives.

3PCSR is a new online CSR concept, a business development programme for owners of small enterprises who want to both increase their profits and to make a difference in the world. The 3P Programme (Profit, People, Planet) uniquely assesses, certifies and guides SMEs on business performance and CSR3P members enjoy unlimited access to a wealth of on-line resources and receive monthly inspiration and guidance on simple steps to improve their business from every angle.

At Corpdata, we have always done what we do with a sense of responsibility toward our clients; We don’t want to simply generate a good return but we are also very mindful that well researched business lists which are kept up to date will have few wasteful goneaways; and much more likely to connect our clients to the right people doing the right job and this is a simple example of how investment in keeping our data up to date means fewer client mailings or telephone calls which end up being a complete waste of time and money. It means you waste less and need to employ fewer resources to meet your business objectives. Oh, almost forgot, and saving money on print, postage or emailing too!

Why not take a look - at www.3pcsr.com - it could make a real difference to your business.
